Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing attack against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their territorial skies.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

Iran's Declared Retaliation

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on areas linked to the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the leadership.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems responded to the missiles with high efficiency and destroyed a number of missiles," the statement continued.

The statement noted missile fragments landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
